A professional medical team

LUX MED medical centers employ a staff 1 800 experienced doctors with over 40 different specialties. Our team includes over 400 professors and Doctors of Medicine. Our priorities are professionalism and high quality of services: 99% of our team members are specialists; 84% are the 2nd degree specialists and 15% are the 1st degree specialists. Among LUX MED medical team members 22% are doctors of medicine, and 5% are professors and associate professors. All our doctors constantly strive to improve their professional skills. They participate in numerous congresses and conferences, for example in international seminars on patient safety.

Scientific Council

LUX MED was the first private company who established a Scientific Council. The Council consists of distinguished medical practitioners of different specialties. The main specialties represented in the council include surgery, cardiology, gynaecology, internal diseases, tropical diseases, dermatology, otolaryngology and transplantology. The council comprises of many professors and associate professors and serves as a supervisory body. It supervises LUX MED's medical operations and works on the introduction of new standards and procedures. With regard to complex and sensitive cases the Council can also organize a consulting group which would consist of Poland's most distinguished medical practitioners in the given field. LUX MED also cooperates with a Boston-based organisation called Best Doctors. Thanks to Best Doctors we can - in the most complex and difficult cases - consult the world's leading specialists.

The Scientific Council is chaired by Professor Jerzy Szczerban, M.D., the former director of the WHO European Bureau, the former president of the Medical Academy in Warsaw and the former director of the Scientific Council at the Ministry of Health.
