PROMEDIS to join the LUX MED Group

LUX MED signed a preliminary agreement on the purchase of 100 per cent of shares of the company Promedis. The agreement will be finalised on 31 August this year.

Rendering medical services to corporate and individual clients, Promedis has a strong position amongst medium-size private medical companies. It has ten clinics located mainly in the central and southern Poland. LUX MED is an all-Poland network medical company offering comprehensive outpatient care supported with a wide range of diagnostic facilities.

The offer of Promedis supplements the range of services hitherto rendered by the LUX MED Group and Medycyna Rodzinna (Family Medicine) affiliated therewith. The expanding Group will have at its disposal the largest network of private healthcare centres in Poland. Its patients will be able to benefit from the outpatient care in 42 clinics of LUX MED, Medycyna Rodzinna and Promedis, and in nearly 900 partner outlets on the entire territory of Poland.

LUX MED, together with affiliated entities, becomes a particularly attractive partner for corporate and insurance clients who within the framework of one structure receive a rich, comprehensive and flexible offer of medical services adjusted to diverse needs.

LUX MED offers a comprehensive - outpatient and diagnostic - medical care. Created in 1992, it is one of the largest and renowned private medical companies in Poland with the network of 15 medical centres in the largest Polish cities: Warsaw, Gdańsk, Łódź, Krakow, Wrocław, Poznań and Katowice. It also cooperates with over 650 partner medical companies nationwide. Currently, LUX MED is employing over 1 800 specialists and servicing over 2 000 companies. Under permanent contracts, the so-called packages, more than 280 000 corporate and individual customers are covered by medical care of LUX MED. The company also offers single payable visits (the so-called "fee for service").
One of the LUX MED's subsidiaries is FADO - the largest service provider in Poland offering mobile diagnostics - mammography, haemodynamics and extracorporeal shock wave lithotripsy (ESWL). FADO has at its disposal, among others, 8 mammobuses, a modern mobile magnetic resonance equipment and one lithotripter for ESWL. Within the framework of the company, there also operates the Invasive Cardiology Clinic in Bydgoszcz.

PROMEDIS has 10 medical clinics in Wrocław, Warsaw, Poznań, Krakow, Katowice and Gdańsk, as well as over 500 cooperating outlets. The team of over 300 specialists take care of 70 000 corporate clients and 15 000 individual ones.

Medycyna Rodzinna (Family Medicine) represents over 600 specialists in 17 clinics in the largest Polish cities, as well as highly specialized Diagnostic Imaging Centre, AVI, conducting diagnostic examinations with the use of modern medical equipment. Medycyna Rodzinna performs services for the National Health Fund (NHF) under basic medical care. Moreover, it cooperates extensively with insurance companies. Recently, it has also been fighting for corporate clients interested in standard healthcare packages, including occupational medicine. The company provides its services to over 146 000 corporate clients and over 206 000 individual ones (NHF).
